Pipe bomb suspect allegedly threatened his ex

Posted

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Authorities have learned more information regarding the pipe bomb found near a residential area earlier this month.

Ryan Beck was arrested after Bartlesville police and the Tulsa bomb squad located a suspicious device believed to be connected to him and properly detonated it.

Now, authorities have released more information as to how they found the alleged pipe bomb. They say a gun box with a sticker led cops to a purchase made by Beck at Atwoods.

After interviewing Beck, authorities say he claimed he had more explosives at his home.

Further investigating revealed that Beck’s ex fiancée felt that he had been threatening her for the last eight months. She told police that Beck said he wanted to hurt her and everyone around her and him.

The ATF and Tulsa Bomb Squad went to the location connected to the suspect, Beck, and searched for evidence of any other dangerous packages. The Tulsa Bomb Squad was able to take any other suspicious packages from Beck’s home and safely detonate them in a field nearby.
