Tulsa firefighters are making dreams come true for one of their own.

TFD and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are teaming up to give a special trip to Disney World to the son of firefighter Robert Page.

Brian Page was born with a joint condition – Arthrogyposis – and already has outlived doctors’ expectations. Now he will celebrate his sixth birthday at the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

His family says he’s super tough, smiling through several surgeries he’s had to undergo in his little life.

“They said he wasn’t gonna make the night, he wasn’t gonna make the week, and would be lucky if he made a year, “ Robert Page said. “And he’s turning 6. Yep, we’re excited. We celebrate every birthday as a big deal. Every birthday is a big deal.”

A big send-off party was held for the Page family on Monday at the Tulsa Fire Museum, complete with a fire truck and all of Robert’s co-workers.

Brian and his parents will leave for Florida on Tuesday morning.

Along with Brian’s dad, his grandfather also is a Tulsa firefighter, and his late great-grandfather was a longtime TFD Captain.
