LOCUST GROVE, Okla. -- Locust Grove Police Chief Bryan Hurry was arrested Tuesday night on accusations that he punched his wife.
On Sept. 1, officers were notified of a welfare check by a concerned citizen that a woman was involved in a domestic incident with her husband.
Responding officers said Hurry's wife had been struck in the head on Aug. 31 at a restaurant in Locust Grove.
Officers talked to the manager of the restaurant and witnesses of the alleged incident. Officials said Hurry punched his wife in the face and then drove in a "crazy manner" in the parking lot.
Hurry was booked without incident just outside of Locust Grove.
Hurry had an arraignment Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. He is being held without bail.
