TULSA - Workers continue to strike against Verizon Wireless on the east coast, and now the battle for better jobs has made its way to Tulsa.
In Tulsa, it wasn't local Verizon workers, but instead union workers who came out to support the strike.
Several people stood outside a Tulsa Verizon store Saturday to say Verizon workers deserve better when it comes to treatment.
Local representatives say workers in the northeast have been without a contract since last Auguest, even though the company has been making record profits.
Local Communications Workers of America representatives Worked to get the word out to Tulsans, saying wrongdoing to one employee affects them all.
CMA does not represent Verizon workers. The organization says more demonstrations are planned for the Tulsa area in the near future.
