TULSA, Okla. — Many student exchanges across the country have been put on hold, but there are virtual exchange programs available in the time of social distancing.
The Tulsa Global Alliance (TGA) is partnering with World Learning for a summer digital exchange program called The Experiment Digital.
Students will connect with others living in countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
It's an eight-week virtual experience funded by the U.S. Department of State that prepares students for the future by building leadership skills.
"Now it's become a vital link in continuing dialogue between American students and counterparts overseas in a time when no one can physically travel just because of the age of social distancing," says Bob Lieser from TGA.
Students between the ages of 14 and 19 can apply for the program.
The deadline is May 20. The exchange will run from the middle of June 22 until August 16.
