TULSA - Local students affected by the recent closure of ITT Technical Institutehave another option to consider in finishing their degrees.

The Virginia College in Tulsa is welcoming any former ITT Tech students who are trying to find another way to continue taking classes.

Not long after a ruling by the U.S. Department of Education regarding federal loans, many were left in the dark about where they could transfer the credits they already earned and now, Virginia College says it can help.

“It will be our honor to give former ITT Tech students the individual support they need,” said Stephanie Thrasher, president of Virginia College in Tulsa. “We’ve determined which ITT Tech credits will transfer and align with our comparable classes so the transition to a new school will be a manageable process. We want to do whatever we can to help.”

For students who were not enrolled in programs that align with those offered at Virginia College, they can work with enrollment specialists and find a way to transition into another program that best suits them.

The college is also offering a special tuition rate for former ITT Tech students as well as waiving enrollment and registration fees, residency requirements and entrance exams.
