The Thanksgiving holiday is over, but Christmas is around the corner, and several Oklahoma non-profits are teaming up to make sure no one goes hungry.
Reed Foundation and Tulsa Dream Center have distributed 400 vouchers from Freed The Children organization to local North Tulsa community residents, organizers say.
The "No Hunger Holiday" is a drive-up event where volunteers will be loading 25-pound boxes of food items, 15-pound boxes of essentials, books, and toys per car.
The cars that come by can only receive the items if they present a valid voucher.
The event will be held Dec. 3 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. located at the Ben Hill Community Center parking lot.
