Starting Tuesday, John 3:16 Mission will be offering free Thanksgiving meals to those in need with the help of Tulsa City councilors. They will be volunteering their time at the shelter serving the meals.
The tradition started in 2000, and it has grown to six nights. The overnight shelter will be providing holiday meals every night at 5:45 p.m. until Sunday.
It's located on 506 N. Cheyenne Ave.
Last year, the mission served more than 2,000 holiday meals.
