TULSA - If it seems like you're seeing a lot of women wearing a black dress this week, you may be. And they're doing it for a great cause.
Junior League of Tulsa is challenging Tulsans to participate in the Little Black Dress Initiative Oct. 10 through Oct. 14 to illustrate the effects poverty can have on women.
Women are encouraged to wear the same black dress for five consecutive days, while men are asked to wear the same black slacks and jacket.
Donations can be made to Dress for Success Tulsa - a non-profit dedicated to empowering women.
The campaign began with Junior League of London in 2014.
