Oklahoma Game Wardens say with high water levels across Green Country, now is a great time to get outdoors and do some fishing.

The department said on its Facebook page that fishing below many reservoir dams is "on fire" right now.

Officials said catfish, crappie, walleye, striper, hybrids and paddlefish are all being caught.

Officials say not to let the high water discourage you from wetting a line.

As always, be sure to stay safe when dealing with high waters.

Game Wardens Spencer Grace (Kay County) and Stephen Paul (Noble County) snapped the photo of a fisherman who reeled in a big paddlefish below Kaw Dam.
