SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Friday morning storms had quite a bit of lightning, and one tree in Sand Springs took a direct hit from one of the strikes.
The lightning strike happened in Sand Springs, in the area of 700 North Lincoln Avenue.
A resident in the area called 2 Works for You and said the strike did damage to the tree in front of his house.
The storms Friday morning in the Tulsa metro were non-severe, but there's a potential for severe weather in the area from 5-10 p.m. on Friday night, with hail and wind being the primary concern.
