Leon Russell is recovering after bypass surgery and has announced new fall tour dates.
The 74-year-old Oklahoma Rock and Roll Hall of Famer canceled concerts in July, August and September after suffering a heart attack in July.
Russell was appreciative of the outpouring of kind words and prayers from fans across the globe. “It’s always great if even one person likes me; it’s especially heartwarming to get over 400 emails,” he said while working on his rehabilitation.
Russell, known for hits like “Tight Rope,” “Delta Lady” and “A Song for You,” is using his down time to write new material.
New concert dates are scheduled from October to December.
