Dr. Olivia J. Hooker, the last survivor of the Tulsa Race Riot, has died, her goddaughter Janis confirmed to 2 Works for You.
Janis said Dr. Hooker passed away at her home in White Plains, New York Wednesday and she will be buried in New York.
Hooker was the first black woman to enter the U.S. Coast Guard and served in the United States Coast Guard Women's Reserve during World War II. She also held a doctorate in psychology and taught at Fordham University.
