TULSA - A Tulsa woman is facing charges of assaulting an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper and resisting arrest.
The trooper took Gitzel Puente, a KJRH reporter, into custody early Wednesday morning as she was headed into work.
OHP claims Puente passed the trooper illegally as he had another driver pulled over.
Puente is facing complaints of resisting arrest, Assault and Battery on a police officer, speeding and obstruction.
She is tentatively due in court on April 20.
Puente had no comment other than to tell us she’s innocent.
