Many Oklahomans who live outside Tulsa city limits will be setting off fireworks tonight.

But it's important to remember pets who get spooked by the loud noises.

More pets go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year. Veterinarians say you should make sure they have a collar and microchip.

"So if you've got them in the yard, bring them inside, darken rooms, watch TV with them so they can get their mind off of it. Because that really ramps them up," said Dr. Chet Thomas with City Veterinary Hospital.
