TULSA, Okla. — The "Just Between Friends" kids consignment shop kicked off its 23rd year at the Tulsa Expo Center.
It's one of Tulsa’s biggest shopping events, where you can shop for toys, clothes, even furniture.
The upscale garage sale not only helps parents on a budget, but also puts a little money back into families’ pockets.
Hundreds of families shop at the week long event where you can find everything you need to raise a newborn to a 12-year-old.
All of the items for sale are either gently used or brand new, still in the packaging.
Brynn Oly has shopped at the event for seven years and consigned for the last three.
“It’s a good quality and it’s a good price, so you’re able to get more," said Oly. I can buy my kids a couple pairs of jeans if I go to the store and here, I can get like, eight pairs of jeans.”
Organizers not only have clothing inspections to make sure the clothes are good quality, they’ve also increased safety standards on products.
Co-founder Daven Tackett said they have a recall specialist with all of the items from the consumer product safety commission.
“She walks around and looks for things that are on their list and she pulls them off of our sales floor and she lets the family know how to fix that item,” said Tackett.
Tackett said this is just another way they help make sure kids are safe.
They're open from 9 am to 7 pm.
Admission is free.
