TULSA, Okla. — Many people are waking up without jobs, and we know companies across the sooner state are laying off workers to save money during the coronavirus pandemic.
2 Works for You is dedicated to helping you and your family by providing resources and information to help Green Country get back on their feet as a part of a new initiative 'The Rebound Green Country'.
2 Works for You spoke with the Oklahoma County Sheriffs Department spokesperson and he tells us they have more than 50 open positions they are looking to fill as soon as possible.
Mark Myers says they need detention officers, and maintenance employees to name a few.
Some of the positions prefer background knowledge in plumbing and electrical work.
"We also have a position called a housing monitor," Myers said. "This is for folks who are comfortable having interaction with inmates. Basically what they do is they sit in a secured pod and they are basically just eyes on, keeping track of inmates.
Myers says they are looking for people who work hard, and want to be a part of a team.
He says this may also be a stepping stone for anyone interested in pursing a career in law enforcement.
