The Flying Tee outdoor golf and entertainment facility is now open in Jenks and owners held a ceremony to recognize many of the supporting individuals and organizations instrumental in helping the business settle in Tulsa.
Dozens of people gathered outside of the 55,000 square foot facility for a glimpse of owners John Vollbrecht, James Vollbrecht, and Ryan Tawwater as well as an inside look of the state-of-the-art golf and restaurant paradise.
Flying Tee co-owner, James Vollbrecht, helped designed the system technology visitors use to play different games and says he knew the focus was to attract everyone.
“We created this place where you can really spend time as a family doing something that everybody can do. You don't have to play golf to be able to play Flying Tee,” James Vollbrecht said.
With the popularity surrounding Flying Tee growing, many families wanted to experience the venue without the long wait the attraction will encounter within the coming days.
Joshua Allen of Tahlequa made the trip to Jenks with his family and says he is very surprised how much his kids enjoyed playing games centered around golf.
“We go with our kids everywhere we go so having a place that can be kid friendly and we can really enjoy a good time out here, it makes a big difference,” Allen said.
