For certified staff teachers, the state legislature passed a step up on the salary schedule and a $1,220 average increase.

For teachers, Jenks Public Schools Board of Education was able to increase the district-paid retirement contribution for teachers from 5.5% to 5.75%.

Teachers with 25 plus years of experience will receive an additional $725, officials say.

Teachers will see these changes starting in their Aug. 30 paychecks.

Officials say administrators will receive an average increase of 3%.
