JENKS, Okla. — The Jenks Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place in the Country Woods Edition near West 106th Street South in Jenks.

Once inside the house, officers located three people with gunshot wounds. Officers called for Jenks Fire Department and EMSA to respond to the scene and began treatment of the victims.

Officials say Thang Khen (36) gathered his four children into the garage where he then pulled out a 9mm handgun and shot Peter Khen (8) then Samual Pau (10).

A 9-year-old child fled back into the house and an infant was left unharmed. Thang Khen then shot himself. Peter (8) died on scene while Samuel Pau (10) and Thang later died at the hospital.

Jenks Police say this type of thing is unexpected in this neighborhood.

Kimberly Trammel- Snodgrass and her family have lived in this neighborhood for seven years.

"Very surprised, very surprised," Trammel-Snodgrass said.

She and other neighbors heard the new online.

"Yes, its devastating, it's devastating. It's hard to believe that it happened to someone so close to home," Trammel-Snodgrass said.

A father and his two sons found dead. Police say the boys mother was at work when this happened.

"We've talked to a lot of neighbors and friends in the neighborhood today," Trammel-Snodgrass said. "It's just a reminder that you just never know what's going on and the holidays are tough and we need to pay more attention about what's going on with our neighbors and friends."

Now, neighbors are pulling together in the face of a tragedy.

"We definitely will get together, we've been talking all evening on our social media website for our neighborhood," Trammel-Snodgrass said. "We want to be a huge support to this family and the children that knew this family."
