BROKEN ARROW -- A balloon release was held Sunday in Broken Arrow for a woman killed in 1998.
Loved ones surrounded Deana Dean's grave this afternoon on what would have been her 35th birthday. Dozens of balloons filled the sky as loved ones remembered Dean.
Larry Dean said his daughter was 16 when she went missing one night after work.
Investigators said nearly a week later, her body was found on a hill in west Tulsa.
Dean said after all these years, he still has faith that investigators will find out who killed his daughter.
"We're gonna get there. And I'm really hoping it's this year. Not that I've heard anything or know anything new, it's just the way everything is falling together. I think we're gonna get the answers we need quick," he said.
The investigation into the cold case is still ongoing. Investigators said they are making progress, but can't release any details at this time.
