ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. — A bus carrying Inola students was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.

The wreck took place about a half-mile east of Inola at County Road E. 595 and S. 4223 Rd.

An OHP report says a 2000 GMC Sonoma driven by a 17-year-old boy rear-ended the bus as it was stopped, with its sign activated, to offload students.

The trooper said the cause of the crash was due to inattention.

One student on the bus was injured, but treatment at the scene was refused, the report says. The other 26 kids on the bus were uninjured, according to OHP.

Both the teenager and the bus driver were properly restrained, according to the report.
