It's one of the most popular movies in the country right now and it was filmed right here in Oklahoma.

2 Works for You Entertainment Reporter Heather Brooker sat down with the producer of "I Can Only Imagine" to talk about how the power of prayer won over Hollywood.

It's a David and Goliath story fit for the movie - a small indie Christian film knocks out huge competitors at the box office with one weapon: faith.

Brooker sat down with the producer of "I Can Only Imagine" who said he and his team prayed about making this movie. And they weren't about to let Hollywood turn them down.

He says god lead him to Oklahoma for the filming. The crew shot in small towns like Luther just outside Oklahoma City.

The film tells the story of real-life Christian singer Bart Millard from the band "Mercy Me" and his rocky relationship with his father, which is played by veteran actor Dennis Quaid.

Downes says he and the directors Andrew and Jon Erwin knew they had a winning combination with a film full of a heart set in the heartland.

The movie cost about $7 million to make and has made more than $75 million at the box office so far.

Governor Mary Fallin recently signed a bill into law, making "I Can Only Imagine" the state's official inspirational song.
