TULSA, Okla. — The Humane Society of Tulsa is offering a low cost spay and neuter event for cats and kittens.

The animal rescue service said the $15 process includes spay and neuter, a rabies vaccination and a free microchip. Kittens must be at least eight weeks old to be eligible.

“We know that getting animals spayed/neutered has a huge impact on the over population problem here in Tulsa," said Macheal Ita with the Humane Society of Tulsa. "We are creating a situation that we believe gives everyone an opportunity to help curb that over population."

The event is set to take place Sept. 16-18 at the Tulsa Tech Peoria Campus.

Those who wish to participate in this event can send an email to spayneuter@tulsapets.com with their contact information, including a phone number and the number of cats they would like to get in the program.
