TULSA -- The Humane Society of Tulsa is in need of donations to help with Hurricane Harvey Relief.

Crews were sent to Harris County to empty the current animals in the shelter to make room for pets displaced by the flood.

Evan Fadem with Humane Society of Tulsa said they expect at least 300 animals to be removed from the shelter.

The pets will be transported back up to Tulsa to the Humane Society's emergency shelter. From there, some will be sent to shelters across the county.

Humane Society of Tulsa is asking the public for help with donations. Fadem said they need cat litter, paper towels, bleach, dish soap and general office supplies. They also need toys, treats, collars and airline kennels for both dogs and cats.

Those can be dropped off at 6232 East 60th Street in Tulsa.
