WEST FORK, Ark. (AP) -- Authorities say a human skull found at a state park in northwest Arkansas has been identified as an Oklahoma hiker who was reported missing in 2017.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says DNA testing identified the skull as Rodney Letterman.
The 37-year-old from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, had last been seen on Aug. 27, 2017 along a hiking trail in Devil's Den State Park.
The sheriff's office said Wednesday that investigators have not been able to determine a cause of death.
The skull and other remains were found on Feb. 25 and had been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for testing.
