Hominy police report attempted abduction of high school student

HOMINY, Okla. -- Hominy police are investigating an attempted abduction of an 18-year-old high school student on Tuesday morning.

The student, a female, said when she was walking to school near the intersection of Walnut and Pettit at about 7:35 a.m., a man in a white truck pulled up next to her and told her to approach him. 

The student said the man grabbed her by the hoodie and tried to pull her toward his truck.

The student said she was able to get out of his grip and the truck driver sped away.

The suspect was described as tan-skinned, 20 to 30 years old, with a bald head and a dark, bushy beard. The truck was described as white with possibly two doors.
