MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- Muskogee's holiday ice rink is coming to the Arrowhead Mall with the help of a local community organization.
Neighbors Building Neighborhoods took over the operation of the ice rink this year and moved the venue from Honor Heights Park to the Arrowhead Mall parking lot near the MLK Center.
The ice skating rink, which is made of a synthetic ice surface, is almost ready to go for the holiday season.
Kim Lynch, with Neighbors Building Neighborhoods, said a family of four can come and skate for $20.
"Because of the MLK Center being just diagonally across, we allow our most underserved children as well as all ages and all levels being able to be a part of a great chance to exercise and have fun and be apart of the community," said Lynch.
Organizers said the funds raised from the ice rink will benefit local programs offered at places like the MLK Center.
The rink opens Friday after Thanksgiving and runs to Dec. 30.
