The City of Coweta announced via Facebook that Highway 51B from Highway 72 in Coweta is currently closed due to a suspicious pipe found in the roadway.
The white pipe was found in the road near the car wash at approximately 11:45 a.m., officials said.
Coweta fire, Coweta police and Wagoner County Emergency Management are on scene, officials said.
Officials said area bomb squads have been called in to evaluate the device.
Officials are asking people to avoid the area.
