TULSA – A man was taken to a nearby hospital following a high-speed chase that ended west of Sand Springs.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the chase started around 2 a.m. Friday. After attempting to issue a traffic stop, the driver led troopers through west Tulsa and ended near the Tulsa Boys’ Home near Highway 51.

Troopers say they were forced to use a crash maneuver in order to end the chase.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital after he continued to evade troopers and attempted to run away.

He was later booked on complaint of eluding an officer, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and in possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges.
