TULSA — The Tulsa Police Department says they will start cracking down on construction zone violations during the month of June.

With on-going construction happening all over Tulsa, police said officers will be randomly monitoring construction zones to enforce action.

Police said a citation issued within a construction zone will range for $150 to $500 fine and or jail time.

No warnings will be issued, police said.

With warming weather, vacation travel and road construction projects will increase, police are urging drivers to remain alert, refrain from using electronic devices and to heed warning signs.
