The Fairfield Inn at 31st and Memorial was evacuated late Friday afternoon after reports of heavy smoke in the building.
Tulsa firefighters were able to narrow down the source to the ceiling of the laundry room and isolate it, officials say.
People in about 20 rooms on three floors were evacuated to a nearby hotel. No injuries have been reported.
Gas and electric service have been turned off to the building as a precaution.
