As of 4:00 p.m. today EMSA paramedics have responded to five heat related emergency calls. The EMSA Heat Alert remains in place until the temperatures drop significantly.
According to EMSA since yesterday there have been twelve heat related illnesses.
EMSA advises to use extreme caution when outdoors, pre-hydrate before going outside, drink plenty of water, and stay in the shade whenever possible.
