BIXBY, Okla. — Peace of mind is closer to many now that COVID-19 testing is becoming more available.

Axis HealthCare is one system of clinics in Green Country administering the tests. The clinicians say out of hundreds of tests, less than a handful came back positive.

The positive cases are reported to the health department. They worry the community does not get the full picture without seeing the many that are actually negative.

Axis HealthCare’s director Krista N’Gom says “Of the amount that we’ve tested, I would say less than two to three percent [tested positive].”

N’Gom says, what is up is the number of people they are treating for anxiety. To help, they advise people to stay connected with family or speak with your doctor.

Axis HealthCare has locations in Bixby, Sapulpa, Bartlesville, Inola and Pryor.

Until April 10, telehealth appointments are $40. All insurances cover COVID-19 testing and telemedicine visits.

The COVID-19 test is free for those without insurance.

Axis HealthCare’s number is 918-970-2573.
