There are just a few more months of flu season and health officials say the spread of the virus is expected to get worse.
So far, eight Oklahomans have died since the season started in September and 431 Oklahomans have gone to the hospital after coming down with the flu, health officials said.
Officials say you should wash your hands often, stay away from sick people, and of course, get your flu shot.
It is not too late to get your flu vaccine if someone has not already, officials said. It takes about two weeks to become fully effective, so vaccination is encouraged early.
85 people died and almost 3,000 Oklahomans had to be hospitalized last flu season, officials said.
