Health officials: 84 patients hospitalized with COVID in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — The number of hospitalizations in Tulsa County keeps going up.

There are 84 COVID patients in Tulsa area hospitals, according to the Tulsa Health Department's website.

That's the most hospitalizations since the pandemic began.

Mayor G.T. Bynum said although Tulsa's hospital capacity remains strong, city's trajectory is going to determine whether a mask mandate will be issued.

In Tulsa County, there are more than 4,500 cases of COVID-19.

72 Tulsa county residents have died and more than 3,400 have recovered from the virus.

Tulsa County currently has the most cases of the virus than any other county in Oklahoma.
