and last updated

According to Haskell County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, deputies are currently asking for help in finding an inmate that escaped Sunday night.

Deputies say inmate Cody Cooper, also known as "Country", ran away while on the inmate work crew around 7 p.m. on Dec. 29.

Cooper had been arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine and a firearm violation. Deputies say Cooper had been a trustee and was moved to the inmate work crew just this past week.

When Cooper escaped, deputies say he was accompanied by other work crew inmates and an Undersheriff.

Cooper ran away near the Star area of Haskell County, deputies say. He was last seen wearing grey sweat shirt and sweat pants with black and red tennis shoes.

If you, or anyone you know, spots Cody Cooper, deputies ask that you call the Haskell County Sheriff's Office at 918-967-2400.
