Guide to all things Oktoberfest Tulsa 2019

TULSA — The Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa 2019 will be open to the public starting Thursday, Oct. 17.

Officials says Tulsa's first Oktoberfest took place in 1979. Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa was named "Best 10 Most Authentic Oktoberfests" in the United States by USA Today and was recognized as a Top 5 Oktoberfest in the nation.

Oktoberfest will take place at the River West Festival Park, located at 2100 South Jackson Avenue, from Oct. 17 - Oct. 20.

SCHEDULE

Wednesday 10/16

Gemütlichkeit Corporate Night– The signature fundraiser for Tulsa Oktoberfest, this pre-festival evening is supported by more than 400 Tulsa area businesses and is often referred to as simply “Corporate Night.” Gemütlichkeit is by reservation only.

Thursday 10/17

Opening Ceremonies – 6:45 p.m.
· Parade of Brewers from Maypole to das Glockenspiel
· Opening Ceremony at das Glockenspiel
· Ceremonial Keg Tapping
· Lederhosen Lauf 5k starts from near das Glockenspiel
· Fireworks show will close out the night

Friday 10/18

  • Zeeco Family Free Day - Free gate admission until 4pm.
  • Ride Wristbands - $20 to ride all day and night. Good for Friday only.
  • Euro Disco – 11:30 p.m. til 1:00 a.m.

Saturday 10/19

  • Bavarian Cup Challenge – 2:00pm

Karbach Brewing Games and Competitions ArenaTeams go head-to-head in a series of games to win the inaugural Bavarian Cup including the Stein Hoist, Bier Barrel Racing and Tug-of-War.

  • Euro Disco – 11:30 p.m. til 1:00 a.m.

Sunday 10/20

  • Dachshund Parade and Costume Contest – 1:20 p.m.

Karbach Brewing Games and Competition ArenaIt’s a wiener dog parade. The dogs strut their stuff for the honor of winner the contest.

  • Dachshund Dash – 2:00 p.m.

Karbach Brewing and Competition ArenaWatch the wiener dogs run. The fastest Dachshund wins.

  • Closing Ceremonies – 5:45 p.m.

Parking

  • The River SkatePark Parking Lot, located at 464 W. 23rd Street on the west bank of the Arkansas River just west of the 21st Street bridge – $10 per vehicle. Note, this lot is approximately 1/4 mile walk from the east entrance of Oktoberfest along the West Arkansas River trail.
  • Festival Grounds Parking Lot, enter off of 21st Street, access from Southwest Boulevard – $20 per vehicle. Handicapped parking also available at this location.

Bands playing at Oktoberfest
More than 40 bands and entertainers will perform during the festival, including:

  • Dorfrocker – Traveling from Germany, Dorfrocker (Village Rocker) returns to headline the largest zelt at the festival, der Lufthansa Technik BierGarten with their blend of polka, rock, pop and folk sound. Their new album "Hallo Alle Mann" released on September 7, 2018 is already in the top 10 on the charts. Dorfrockers are a three-brother band that just might be the Hanson of Germany.
  • Münchner Gaudiblosn – Can you say “Sweet Caroline”? Coming to Tulsa direct from playing THE Munich Oktoberfest, this 7-member band plays all our favorite Neil Diamond, John Denver, Abba as well as traditional Bavarian Music, Bavarian Pop & Alpine Rock, Schlager, and Rock & Roll.
  • Das Ist Lustig – translation "That's Fun" this high energy threesome gets the crowd involved with cowbells, dancing and singing traditional songs from Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, American folk and variety music.
  • Alex Meixner Band - Grammy Nominee. Featured in a Hormel commercial and in the Jack Black movie "The Polka King". Alex is known for his wild, energetic shows that include polka versions of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" and Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train".
  • Chardon Polka Band - Featured on their own reality TV show "The Polka Kings". This modern polka band hales from Cleveland, Ohio and have played together since their high school days. They rock Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, Polka Style!

The Brothers Moore- are an alternative rock group from Tulsa, OK. Having just released their debut EP "Careless" in August of 2017 and a follow up single "Moves" in December of 2017, the band is quickly gaining traction. Thickening the vein of early Kings of Leon meets Incubus and The Strokes, the brothers bring the undeniable charisma that embodies rock n’ roll.
Euro Disco - DJ Moody - "Obsessed with making you move" is the philosophy of DJ Moody. For more than 10 years he's been behind the turntables. This Tulsa, OK native has rocked shows all over the Midwest down to Miami, FL., showcasing his signature mix of hip hop, rock, electronic, and other styles.
