TULSA, Okla. — The Greenwood Leadership Academy is working to provide after school programs with a discovery lab.
Programs that focus on science, technology, engineering.
This will bring activities, experiments, and hands on research for many children in North Tulsa.
One of the fundraising events is the GLA 5k, the race started at 1789 W. Seminole Street.
The route of the first GLA 5K & Fun Run went from Greenwood Leadership Academy, around the neighborhood and up to Metropolitan Baptist Church before it loops back to the school.
Over 100 people registered and the GLA raised over six thousand dollars with it's first 5K & Fun Run.
