Green Country third graders win Muskogee police puppy naming contest

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A Green Country school's third grade class are the winners for the Muskogee Police Department's contest to name their new K9 puppy.

Muskogee police said they received a total of 62 names from schools around the area.

Such names as Cooper, Hunter, Scout, Roscoe and Chief were submitted for naming the police department's new Bloodhound puppy.

What's the winning name? Tracker!

Saint Joseph Catholic School's third grade class found out they were the winners with the name they submitted: Tracker.

Muskogee police and Tracker met with the kids to let them know they had won.
