MAYES COUNTY, Okla. - The man who fell to his death at the GRDA Energy Plant has been identified as 34-year-old David Hardman.
Officials with the Grand River Dam Authority are still investigating the incident.
The incident happened at the GRDA Energy Plant just east of Chouteau around 1 in the afternoon Sunday. The GRDA says they've not seen an accident this severe in decades.
Hardman and other contracted workere were working on emission upgrades on one of the coal burners. Hardman was working 30-feet in the air when he fell to his death.
Locust Grove, Pryor and Chouteau fire departments all assisted at the scene. The man was not a GRDA employee, but officials say they're determined to find out what caused this man to die.
