OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 74-year-old woman was beaten and robbed while headed to the grocery store in Oklahoma City.

Sharon Gentry said as soon as she opened her car door in the parking lot of an Oklahoma City Walmart, a man came out of nowhere and violently attacked her.

You can tell this grandmother is in a lot of pain. Just take a look at her face.

"Just sore, hard to walk a little bit," Gentry said.

The 74-year-old said it's been a rough weekend after she was the target of some cowardly thieves.

"Within two seconds, I'm thrown through the car and out through the passenger side," Gentry said.

Gentry said Saturday morning while running some errands, she stopped at the bank to make a withdrawal. Then, drove to Walmart near Southwest 104th and Western to do some grocery shopping. When she pulled in, she said she was attacked.

"Put my car in park, took the key out and, I'm not kidding you, there he was," the grandmother said.

Gentry says as soon as she unlocked her car, a man wearing a hoodie pushed her down, grabbed at her purse and pulled her over the center console and out of then car. That's when the suspects stole her purse and the $700 inside.

If you look closely at the surveillance footage, you can see Gentry crawling behind her car just moments after, as the suspects speed off. Police want to find the SUV and the three people involved. Investigators believe the suspects followed Gentry from the bank.

"I just realized how much protection the Lord gave me and it took me four or five hours, but I prayed for their salvation," Gentry said.
