Governor Kevin Stitt gave an update on PPE, or personal protective equipment, as the death toll goes up.

He says they have PPE stored away as they prepare for a surge of COVID-19.

The governor says we have 2,000 ventilators in the state, and their peak models show we will need 500.

He also answered a question about whether he's considered sending some of Oklahoma's PPE to states that need it more.

"My number one job is to protect Oklahoma. If we see we are flattening this curb and we are behind it and 100 percent safe, then we will release some and share somewhere else," Stitt said. "But my job is to protect Oklahoma before we ship anything to another state."

He says that is something they are monitoring.
