TULSA, Okla. — Governor Kevin Stitt is ordering American and Oklahoma flags across the state at half-staff on Sept. 30 to honor a fallen Oklahoma firefighter.
According to a press release, Oklahoma firefighter Ricky Fulton passed away on Sept. 22 in Emmett, Idaho while battling the Schill Wildfire. Fulton was a tanker plane pilot.
Fulton, born and raised in Oklahoma, attended Amber-Pocasset High School and Tulsa's Spartan College of Aeronautics.
Fulton leaves behind family and many friends. His life and service will be remembered on Sept. 30 at the Ninnekah First Baptist Church.
Stitt signed the executive order 2020-30 on Sept. 29th.
