Governor Kevin Stitt signed an executive order Thursday ensuring support staff at public schools across the state can be paid for the remainder of their current contract.
"It is important to me that our local school boards have the authority to fulfill support staff contracts and pay their employees while their buildings are closed," Stitt said.
The order cleared up some questions as some districts were concerned if they're allowed to pay staff while the schools are closed.
