GoFundMe accounts set up for family of boy killed in hit-and-run crash near Gathering Place

TULSA — GoFundMe accounts have been set up for the family of a five-year-old boy who was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash near the Gathering Place.

Police said the child, Caiden Reyes-Ortiz, and his mother were riding a rented scooter southbound in the outside, northbound lanes of Riverside Drive when they were struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.

Police named Renier S. Davison, 25, as a person of interest and he turned himself in on Wednesday morning, police said. The man faces a count of felony hit-and-run.

Police said Davison admitted to driving the suspected vehicle during the crash. His driver's license was also suspended out of Missouri, police said.
