Larry Lee from Lee on Demand Construction and Services was called upon to make a mailbox, which he later learned was for Tulsa Police Officer Zarkeshan.

Realtor Cheyanne Tsaras, one of Zarkeshan's friends, requested the brick mailbox be built for her friend.

Lee tells us, "It's a life-changing event when you can be a part of something like this. It's a privilege. It's an honor. When she told me who it was for I was like, 'Look, there is no cost.'"

Zarkeshan suffered critical injuries in June; after a life-saving surgery and physical therapy, he says he's able to stand and walk comfortably.

"Giving back to an officer who's been injured in an officer-involved shooting…absolutely it's worth it", says Lee.

While he still has more physical therapy to go, Zarkeshan has plenty of support and love wishing him a speedy and remarkable recovery.

Lee tells us, "You know, they say grown men don't tear up and don't cry, but if I saw the man drive up and I was here when he drove up, I think I'd tear up because like I said, it's an honor helping a gentleman like this."

Taras tells us that Zarkeshan could be returning home as early as next month.

This is just one home improvement Lee says he has in store for Zarkeshan and his family, for now keeping the details under wraps.
