Gathering donations for victims of Oklahoma wildfires

Oklahomans are stepping up to help ranchers in Logan County devastated by wildfires.

Wheeler Coburn and Hugh Plagg spent the past few days calling just about everyone they know to see what they can donate.

“What they are going through out there, it’s heartbreaking,” said Coburn. “It tugs at your heartstrings. It makes you sick for them.”

So far they say they've collected about 80 bales of hay for ranchers to feed their cattle.

Wildfires have burned nearly 800,000 acres in Oklahoma and Kansas.

More donations are needed including hay, fencing supplies and money.
