Oklahoma native Garth Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, are currently in Tennessee.

They recently appeared in a video posted on Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s YouTube account.

The country music couple are speaking out and encouraging Tennesseans to be wise and take precautions as the state begins to open up its businesses.

“We are asking you, Tennessee, to keep it going, to be smart, to be careful, and to be diligent,” Yearwood said.

Brooks also adds that just because places are open, it doesn’t mean you have to partake in them.

“Stay strong,” Brooks said.

Garth and Yearwood fans will be thrilled to catch both country singers in a live stream performance from the Grand Ole Opry on May 2 at 7 p.m. CT.
