In these modern and digital times, the battle over which gaming system is best can be difficult to decide.

And with so many good deals on this Black Friday, many of you are asking which system is right for your kids and family.

Russell Haythorn takes a 360 look at the gaming system showdown.

When it comes to gaming consoles, it's fair to say, they've come a long way since the days of Pac-Man and Super Mario Brothers.

"It looks like a movie. It's cinematic. It's beautiful."

"It's like watching a movie, but you're actually living through it."

And the number one question gaming experts get, especially as the holidays get closer, "Which is better?"

Because it's not always easy for parents, grandparents, boyfriends, girlfriends to figure out which is better - we're going 360 to help all you gift givers make the right choice.

We'll look at the three main systems, which are the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox and Play Station 4.

Let's start with Nintendo Switch, which all of our experts agree - is the most family friendly.

"It's the perfect console to start out - especially for kids. Especially for parents," experts say. "It's perfect for kids who are first getting into gaming."

And Scott Estes says the games are all so innocent.

"One of the most popular games in stardew valley and it's all about farming. That's all it is."

And with Mario Kart, Estes says, "That's like their signature..."

As with most of their games, you can play with each other.

"You're having a bunch of friends over for a party, and you guys want to play some video games - that's a more inviting system," Estes says. "I love the Nintendo Switch. It's more - I get to play with my nephews here and there."

Retail price for the switch - $299.

Moving on to the x-box, Estes says, "Microsoft with the Xbox is the only one that really has a decent racing game anymore."

Experts say the Xbox is more geared toward older kids and teens and offers online competition.

And it's all about playing against other players who are also online.

Experts say, "The best way to ask is - do you like playing against each other?"

And there's this assessment, "The xbox is still the strongest console on the market," experts say.

Retail price for the x-box - also $299.

And then there's the PS4.

"There's a bunch of games on Playstation that - you're literally just playing out a story," say experts. "I love Playstation for the single-player games. Their story-telling ability is phenomenal."

Experts say this is the console for you or your child if you like playing alone almost as if you're making your own movie.

But a warning, Playstation games can be violent and bloody.

Experts says, "It's more like watching a movie or reading a book."

Retail price for the Playstation - $299, as well.

And that brings us back to best buy.

Experts say, "Nowadays, honestly, they're all at the same level."

Where the guys say it's just a matter of personal preference.
